Snow in Dorset

Here’s a few pics from the snowy weekend – so weird seeing snow down south again! We made the most of it and hit up some of our favourite spots in Dorset.

I’ve never found pigeons and seagulls so relatable…

First stop was Upton Country Park to find snow covered flowers and feed the birds. I had two aims:

  • picture of a robin in the snow
  • picture of a daffodil in the snow

Anything else was a bonus!

Next we stopped off at Lake Pier for pics of snowy gorse and a frozen boat.

After a fortifying and warming lunch of leftover curry, I was itching to get out to Durdle Door. I’ve seen so many pictures of it in the snow over the last month but really wanted to see for myself – luckily the roads were perfectly clear but there was still some powdery stuff left on the coast. Perfect way round!

We walked up the hill before Bat’s Head as far as possible to get some selfies (not pictured). We genuinely thought my phone would be blown out of my hands over the cliff.

Finally, my favourite picture of them all:
